Responsibilities

The RN Director of Operations will work closely with our De Novo Team focused on hiring the clinical hospice team of this new location. 

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage operations, services, personnel performance, and office management ongoing. Ensure the execution of operations are completed daily
  • Lead the interdisciplinary team of hospice professionals and manage all aspects of terminal care for our hospice patients
  • Supervise the staff and the day-to-day office and clinical operations, manage the documentation requirements, oversee service coordination, and the case management
  • Plans the delivery, coordination, and the interdisciplinary team interventions for the branch hospice agency
  • Responsible for the assignment of appropriate staff members to patients
  • Acting team staff nurse when necessary
  • Participate in community awareness and education programs

The RN Director of Operations must have excellent communication skills and the ability to execute an effective, supportive sensitive approach in response to needs of the employees and the patients and their families.

Qualifications

  • Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) and registered in the state of practice
  • Previous experience in a hospice program is preferred
  • Must have intermediate demonstrated technology skills
  • HCHB experience preferred
  • Must have an associate degree in a health related field and two years' as a manager or supervisor.
  • Must not have been employed in the last year as an administrator with another operation at the time any enforcement action was taken against the business; further described in the company compliance policies.
  • Must possess a valid state driver license, maintain automobile liability insurance as required by law
  • Must maintain dependable transportation in good working condition
  • Must be able to safely drive an automobile in all types of weather conditions
