Responsibilities
- The Hospice Branch Director/Director of Operations is a Registered Nurse who manages all aspects of terminal care and has expertise in pain and symptom management and previous experience in hospice nursing. Additionally, the Hospice Branch Director supervises the staff, has knowledge of and manages documentation requirements, oversees service coordination and case management.
- The Hospice Branch Director must have excellent communication skills and the ability to execute an effective, supportive sensitive approach in response to needs of the employees and the patients and their families.
- The Hospice Branch Director supervises the day-to-day office and clinical operations as well as the planning, coordination, and delivery of the interdisciplinary team interventions.
- The Hospice Branch Director is responsible for the assignment of appropriate staff members to patients/families, and acting as a staff nurse when necessary. Also, the Hospice Branch Director participates in community awareness and education programs.
- Serve as the local chief executive agent. Lead the local provider(s) in a better way to care for the community in which it serves, and contribute to the overall success of the company.
- Ensure the execution of operations are completed daily. Manage operations, services, personnel performance, and office management ongoing.
Qualifications
- Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) and registered in the state of practice
- Previous experience in a hospice program is preferred
- Must have intermediate demonstrated technology skills
- HCHB experience preferred
- Must have an associate degree in a health related field and two years' as a manager or supervisor.
- Must not have been employed in the last year as an administrator with another operation at the time any enforcement action was taken against the business; further described in the company compliance policies.
- Must possess a valid state driver license, maintain automobile liability insurance as required by law
- Must maintain dependable transportation in good working condition
- Must be able to safely drive an automobile in all types of weather conditions
