Overview
Enhabit Home Health & Hospice, a leading provider of home health services, is seeking a talented Senior Corporate Accountant with expertise in multi-entity accounting to join our finance team. As a Senior Corporate Accountant you'll be responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the general ledger, reviewing financial statements, completing financial analysis, and assisting with preparing SEC reporting supporting documents.
This position is located at 6688 N. Central Expressway, Dallas, TX 75206 and is expected to work onsite the first 10 business days of each month.
Hybrid eligible: Once fully trained, this position will be eligible to work remotely 2-3 days per week.
Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries and monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Analyze monthly financial statements and variances against prior year and budget, month to date and year to date; provide concise explanations to support findings.
- Assist with preparing supporting documents for SEC reporting, including 10-Q and 10-K disclosures and footnotes.
- Prepare complex functional journals - payroll and related accruals, insurance, amortization of prepaid expenses, and allocations.
- Prepare and coordinate intermediate to advanced level consolidated reconciliations and work with the necessary departments to resolve.
- Assist with and participate in the annual budgeting process.
- Prepare valid explanations of inconsistencies in budgeted data and existing trends.
- Comply with all SOX controls and departmental processes and procedures. Identify areas of deficiency and improve current processes to meet SOX requirements.
Qualifications
- Must have a bachelor's degree.
- Must have two years of demonstrated progressive experience working in an accounting department.
- Proficiency in financial analysis, reporting, and reconciliation.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial accounting principles.
- Must have demonstrated proficiency in Excel and the ability to use complex pivots and functions.
- Experience with budgeting and forecasting processes preferred.
- Familiarity with healthcare financial regulations and compliance preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
